A packed coffee shop. Every table accounted for. Same with every outlet.
But her laptop didn’t care. It was relentless, flashing ominous warnings:
‘Zero battery. Plug in immediately!’
Louise reached under the neighboring table, yanking out the power cord. She figured he wouldn’t mind. He was too busy at the front counter flirting with the staff. Besides, attractive people should have to experience hardship on occasion.
But he was back before she knew it. And he did mind. And he was charming about it too.
How’d he pull that off, she wondered.
She’d be sure to ask him next Tuesday.
