A Helping Hand

“I’m good,” she answered.

But she wasn’t. She had come outside and found a punctured tire on her brand new Lexus. A strange start to her morning. Now it was getting stranger.

“Nonsense. That tire needs work. Let me help,” the gawky teenager continued.

Before she could react, the young kid hopped off his bike and began rifling through his backpack. An impressive display of tools on the driveway quickly followed.   

What were the chances someone would be riding by at the right time? And what were the chances they’d have all the right tools?

Something was off.

But what?
