The old man stood at the sink, puzzled.
“Isn’t this the men’s lavatory?” he asked no one in particular.
An old woman stood nearby, equally confused.
“I thought it was the ladies’ room,” she answered. “But with all those silly symbols on the door, who knows anymore?”
“At least you could see them,” he said, now smiling. “Everything in this restaurant is so damn dark.”
An unexpected spark between two elderly strangers. But romance? At their age?
Nonsense.
Suddenly, a toilet flushed. A thirty-something bounded from the stall, embracing the open sink between the pair.
“It’s both!” she cheerfully explained.
