Family night. Movie night. Dad dusted off the projector and gathered everyone in the den. Then came the foldout screen.
Old home movies. Grainy film of long departed relatives. His family hated the ritual but tolerated it anyway. Anything to keep their dad happy.
Soon black and white images flashed across the screen. The wife and kids sat bored, but not little Sally. She sat cross-legged, mesmerized by the performance. She then pointed to one young woman and smiled.
Dad stared at his four-year-old. She had just singled out her great-grandmother. Her namesake.
How in the world did she know?
