She accepted the offer immediately. Having her toxicology lab associated with the Indiana State Fair was not only good for business, but the fair had been her happy place in an otherwise tough childhood. It was the perfect union.

She never expected to see doped up livestock or cheating teenagers or furious helicopter parents. But that was last year. Her eyes were wide open this time around.

Dr. Wilson stood inside the hot and dusty old barn. She watched the teenager milk his award-winning dairy cow.
