Why would he? Complete waste of time. He just wanted his home security system up and running.
But the second he finished downloading the software, everything changed. The oven kicked on, jumping to the hottest setting. Same with all four stove burners. Water poured from every faucet in the two-story home. He could hear it cascading down the staircase.
He picked up the house phone. No service. Same with his cell.
He ran to the front door and grabbed the handle just as all doors locked in unison.
He should’ve read the fine print.
