I immediately felt a pair of judgmental eyes upon me, torching what was left of my dignity.
“Dad… stop,” my daughter hissed. “You’re embarrassing.”
Falling off a skateboard while trying to impress my child should have been humiliating enough, but I couldn’t help myself. I hadn’t been on a date in ages. And here I was chatting with this attractive, age-appropriate woman.
“Only when grown men still think they can keep up with teenagers,” said the EMT while tightening the bandage around my swollen ankle.
Witty, competent, charismatic.
